Dolnet Saxophone Serial Numbers
The models that you are bound to see around are the Bel Air, The Universal, The royal Jazz and the M70, the last two have a very definite look and the M70 always has a serial number starting with M70. Also the curved Dolnet soprano was bought from Orsi. Hey guys, this is my first post. Just would like to ask a question about my Dolnet sax and hope someone might be able to answer if for me. The serial number is 30239, on saxpics it has a listing for Dolnets but says series II is number 1,200-3,400 and Bel-air is number 34,000-80,000. Dolnet ' Studium' Tenor Sax. Seller 100% positive. Serial number:46677C probably built mid 1950s. Nice silver plated tenor saxophone. DOLNET: Serial Number from: Serial Number to: Year of Manuf. Comments: 1: 1200. As their saxophone line before the King model was introduced. I have a Dolnet Belair series soprano saxophone, s/n 76241. After quite a bit of research on here and other sites, I know the serial numbers for Dolnet are murky at best. My guess is my sax is from the 60s based on the serial number range and the style of the engraving. What I can't find ANY information about is how to go about valuing it.

Dolnet Sax Serial Numbers
The Dolnet saxophones are well known by the powerful sound and great spontaneity of the blowing. They are solid and well-built, well tuned, definitely really professional instruments!
This sale is a Series II, 22xxx which is supposed to date back to the mid 40′. The instrument is well made from the structural point of view, has not received previous repairs and was completely refurbished in our laboratory.
The sound is very free blowing and powerful, with particular redundancy on the lower tones, that you can really play with a little breath, the timbre is very beautiful, the intonation is excellent, ergonomically quite comfortable, very nice to play!
Comes with the hard case, perhaps the original, and a wooden cap.
