Lancer Evo 'I'm a youngsta but I'm deep in history that's keepin' everything cool, I use my mic as my tool, PEACE 2 da oldskool.' - Tarik Dawson, 1994. Enjoying a largely teenage and preteen following, Immature moved from Virgin to MCA with its sophomore effort, Playtyme Is Over. The label switch didn't mean a change in focus - the group (whose members were 11 or 12 at the time) still offered an abundance of hip-hop-influenced, medium-tempo new jack R&B grooves.
The trio recorded their debut album, On Our Worst Behavior, for Virgin in 1992 and scored a modest R&B hit with 'Tear It Up' (from the animated film Bebe's Kids). After moving to MCA for 1994's Playtyme Is Over, Immature scored with the pop hits 'Never Lie'. Playtyme Is Over is the second album by American band Immature, released on August 2, 1994, on MCA Records. It peaked at number 88 on The Billboard 200 chart and at number 26 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop. Playtyme Is Over is similar to these albums: IMx, The Journey (Immature album), We Got It (album) and more.
